The final day of Musikfest 2022 had one more treat for ska fans. Catbite from Philadelphia had performed here in 2021 and, luckily for me, came back in 2022.

This interview was conducted before their early evening set at the Zinzenplatz stage. The tent quickly filled up with people who were quick to sing along to the numerous covers (The Clash “White Riot”, Operation Ivy “Healthy Body”, No Doubt “Sunday Morning”) and especially songs from their sophomore full-length ‘Nice One’ just celebrating its first anniversary.

I was lucky enough to get to talk to the full band, Britt, Tim, Ben and Chris. We spoke about gearing back up and trying to build momentum as a new band after….well…2020/2021, Tim’s wide ranging past associating with bands we have covered on this show, their new split EP with Mike Park and MORE.
The future is bright for these cool cats. If you play upbeat, fun music, the people will come, that’ll never change.
